ROLE SUMMARY

The Early Warning System (EWS) Risk Manager is responsible for safeguarding the portfolio against potential credit defaults and financial risks through robust data architecture, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling. This role anchors the end-to-end lifecycle of both EWS and Business Risk Engine (BRE) models, ensuring they remain accurate, high-performing, and aligned with evolving risk appetites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Transactional

Data Organization & Management


  • Architect and oversee comprehensive data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, hygiene, and seamless integration across disparate sources to feed risk models effectively. 

Advanced Analytics & Modeling

  • Spearhead the design, development, and validation of predictive EWS models (to flag early distress signals) and BRE models (to track ongoing behavioral risk changes).

Model Finetuning & Optimization

  • Continuously recalibrate model parameters and algorithms to reduce false positives, enhance predictive power, and adapt to changing macroeconomic conditions.

Performance Tracking & Governance:

  • Implement rigorous monitoring frameworks to track model accuracy, stability, and business impact over time, ensuring compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory standards.
  • Engage senior leadership proactively to diagnose underperforming segments, pinpoint credit strengths, and channel growth strategies toward high-performing areas.
