Treasury Management Systems Specialist - Senior

 

Job Summary

 

We are seeking Senior professionals to provide functional, technical, and implementation support for SAP Treasury and Risk Management (SAP TRM) and related Treasury Management Systems (TMS). The role will support payment processing, system reliability, banking integrations, documentation, testing, and compliance with global banking standards while working closely with treasury, IT, banking, and implementation teams.

 

The Senior will contribute to end-to-end SAP TRM implementation activities, including requirement gathering, configuration support, testing, deployment, defect resolution, and post-go-live support under the guidance of project leads and managers.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Maintain and support SAP TRM and related TMS platforms, including incident resolution, enhancement support, upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to implementation projects for SAP TRM, including requirement gathering, configuration, documentation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Support configuration for SAP Cash Management, Bank Account Management (BAM), In-House Cash, payment formats / DMEE, and bank statement integration.
• Assist in solution design discussions and client workshops by preparing inputs, capturing requirements, and documenting functional outcomes.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, user guides, and process documentation.
• Support UAT, regression testing, defect analysis, and coordination with technical teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain master data for bank accounts, counterparties, entities, payment methods, and related treasury objects.
• Configure and monitor payment workflows to support secure, controlled, and efficient payment processing.
• Support bank connectivity setup including SWIFT FIN/FileAct, Host-to-Host, SFTP, and API-based connectivity.
• Support integration of bank statements such as CAMT.05x, MT94x, and BAI2 with ERP and treasury systems for reconciliation.
• Prepare dashboards, operational reports, and status updates for liquidity, payments, reconciliation, and implementation progress.
• Act as a point of contact for assigned workstreams, client queries, and operational issues, escalating risks and blockers as needed.
• Support onboarding of new entities, enhancements, and treasury process improvements.

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

• Hands-on experience with SAP TRM and one or more TMS / Payment Hub platforms such as FIS Quantum, FIS Integrity, Kyriba, Trax, GTreasury, or Reval.
• Implementation experience in SAP TRM or SAP Treasury modules, preferably across at least two end-to-end implementation / rollout / enhancement projects.
• Working knowledge of SAP Cash Management, Bank Account Management (BAM), In-House Cash, payment formats / DMEE, bank statement integration, and ERP-TMS connectivity.
• Good understanding of treasury operations, payment workflows, banking integrations, and financial messaging standards.
• Familiarity with SWIFT, ERP integration, payment files, bank statements, and treasury system interfaces.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

 

 

Experience

 

• 5+ years of relevant experience in SAP TRM / Treasury Management Systems / payment operations / implementation support.
• Experience supporting at least two end-to-end SAP TRM, treasury system, payment hub, or treasury transformation implementations is preferred.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and supporting small workstreams or junior team members is preferred.

 

 

Preferred Skills

 

• Knowledge of multiple TMS platforms and treasury modules.
• Exposure to SQL scripting, automation tools, and reporting scripts.
• Familiarity with Citrix environments and job scheduling tools.
• Understanding of electronic bank account management (eBAM) processes.
• Exposure to API-based integrations and secure file transfer protocols such as SFTP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in agile project environments and manage multiple priorities.

 

 

Technical Expertise

 

The candidate should have hands-on or working knowledge across SAP TRM and Treasury Management Systems, with exposure to the following functional areas:

• Foreign Exchange (FX): trade capture, settlement, and valuation support.
• Interest Rate Swaps: configuration and lifecycle support.
• Forwards and Futures: hedging and exposure management support.
• Money Market Funds: investment workflow and reporting support.
• Derivatives and Options: pricing, risk analysis, and compliance support.
• Liquidity and Cash Positioning: ERP integration and dashboard support.
• Enterprise Workflow (EWF): approval and operational workflow support.
• Crystal Reports / reporting tools: operational reporting and analytics support.

 

 

Soft Skills

 

• Ability to engage with clients, clarify requirements, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and written / verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Ability to prepare clear documentation and status updates for project leads and stakeholders.
