Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, test planning, defect management, and Agile software development. This role involves ensuring high-quality software delivery by designing, executing, and managing comprehensive test strategies while collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to develop effective test strategies.
• Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through to resolution.
• Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to clarify requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives.
• Review requirements to identify ambiguities and potential quality risks.
• Estimate testing effort and provide accurate timelines.
• Prepare test execution reports and quality metrics for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and review their test artifacts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Expertise in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
• Experience in exploratory and end-to-end testing.
• Strong defect reporting and tracking experience.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools.
• Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to write clear, reusable, and comprehensive test cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is preferred.
