SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATIONJob Function: P&MRole: Foreman/Supervisor/Engineer/Manager - P&M - SiteJob Family: Plant and MachinerySECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)The Plant & Machinery (P&M) – Site is responsible for managing the daily operation, upkeep, and performance monitoring of construction plant and machinery at the project site. The role ensures equipment readiness, adherence to maintenance schedules, compliance with safety standards, and optimal utilization of machinery to support uninterrupted project execution.SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIESSupervise the operation and maintenance of all construction equipment and machinery at the site, ensuring high availability and performance.Implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists, coordinating servicing activities with site teams and vendors.Monitor fuel consumption, equipment utilization, and downtime; take corrective actions to minimize losses.Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, safety protocols, and statutory regulations during equipment handling and operations.Support in the mobilization and demobilization of equipment at the site, maintaining proper documentation.SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONSInternal StakeholdersSite Execution and Planning Teams: For daily equipment requirement, schedule alignment, and breakdown reporting.Cluster and BU P&M Teams: For resource allocation, technical escalations, and major breakdown support.External StakeholdersEquipment Operators and Technicians: For field-level work assignment, tracking machine health, and site-level troubleshooting guidance.OEMs and Local Service Vendors: For periodic maintenance support, spare parts procurement coordination, and specialized equipment servicing.SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEKNOWLEDGEMinimum Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile Engineering.Language Skills: Proficiency in local language; working knowledge of English preferred.EXPERIENCEYears of Experience: 3 – 20 yearsNature of Experience: Hands-on experience in site-level operation, maintenance, and management of construction equipment, including troubleshooting and supervision of machinery usage.SECTION VI: TECHNICAL & LEADERSHIP / BEHAVIORAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE ROLETechnical SkillsWorking knowledge of construction equipment operation and basic troubleshootingFamiliarity with preventive maintenance techniques and safety normsCost ManagementData Analysis and ReportingDigital / AI AdoptionDisposal ManagementEquipment KnowledgeEquipment MobilizationVendor ManagementLeadership / Behavioral SkillsSafety-first mindset and problem-solving approachAttention to detail and operational discipline
