As we continue to develop the AMEA MSC S4 team we are delighted to announce new MTI-Manufacturing role opportunities within the AMEA S4 MSC Regional Delivery Team. This team will be critical to drive the digital change within the SAP S4H programme in what will be a multi-year journey delivering a major investment in MDLZ that will simplify, transform and optimise our business capabilities.

This role is responsible for driving all plants in AMEA through the design validation, harmonization, optimization and implementation of Warehousing and Inventory Management process as part of the S4 HANA transformation programme.

This role will work closely with SMEs for other MTI processes and key MSC stakeholders to ensure AMEA alignment with global/ regional S4H design. The role will also include identifying harmonization / simplification opportunities in processes and ways of working across AMEA.

This role will lead the Key user Community of practice for Warehousing & Inventory Management (WMS & IM) processes to prepare for S4 transformation and drive continuous improvement and harmonisation, bringing together process experts form AMEA plants.

How you will contribute

You will assess all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Warehousing (CWM/DWM) and IM, to check compatibility and workability within the future S4H design (EWM) and ensure they are aligned with business requirements. Example subprocesses in scope would include, but not limited to:

  • Receive Materials
  • Supply materials to Production
  • Manage Internal Movements
  • Manage Physical Inventory
  • Write-off Obsolete Materials
  • Goods Receipt from Production
  • Outbound Process
  • Manage Master Data

Design Validation: Act as the regional subject matter expert on all WMS & IM processes. Work and coordinate with process experts from plants, region and global to help validate the S4 HANA global design. Defines best practice in alignment with Global team.

Gap Analysis & Harmonization: Identify process gaps, evaluate harmonization opportunities, scoping of flows, and co-ordinate feedback to the regional team. Provide information and explanations to help contextualise any deviations, develop business cases for process standardisation across AMEA and escalate critical issues that may require specific AMEA support to solve.

Decision Documentation: provide detailed input and explanations for key decision documents (KDDs) for required AMEA process adaptations, while recognising alignment with the overall global S4 strategy.

Testing & Validation:  Work with key users to define and implement testing and validation approaches as applicable.  Support the definition of the testing strategy, scope, and preparation of test cases.  Depending on the project phase, the SME role will perform testing and also support key users during testing and perform defect management activities.

Change Management & Adoption: Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of any process changes across plants, support training, upskilling, and capability development using clear and timely communication. Develop and keep up to date training documentation and re-training of key users. Lead the Key User community activities.

BCP (business continuity plan): Develop and maintain BCP guidelines to mitigate risks during implementation of S4 and beyond. Support plants to localise the BCP to specific plant needs. Share and align details with regional S4 BCP planning team.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the bridge between different teams affected by the process; including Supply hub, other MTI sub processes, LogOps, Procurement, Master data, Internal Controls, Finance and MDS.

Master data: Define Master data requirements for data objects owned by the process, supporting the validation activities.

Cutover:  Work closely with the central and local teams providing functional support to build cutover plan. Supports preparation and execution of cutover activities during trials and golive cutover, as set by the regional S4 team.

Hypercare: Supports Key users during hypercare phase post golive. Gives functional supports to Accenture for defect resolution.

Housekeeping: Defines housekeeping best practice and provides guidance to KU.

SAP job roles: Supports SAP job roles activities by approving SAP job roles access to end users and cooperating with Internal Controls to identify risks and sensitive access rights.

  • Hands on experience on SAP WMS Systems (CWM/EWM/DWM) and Inventory Management in a manufacturing plant, understanding of Business process including interaction with other business processes and end to end.

  • SAP ECC technical operational background with clear understanding of SAP transactions and processes with the ability to execute SAP transactions within a test environment

  • Understanding of data structure and principles involved in these processes.

  • Background in business processes, gap analysis, and harmonization initiatives.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with plant stakeholders and other SMEs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across business and technical functions.

  • Experience in supporting change and delivering training and business adoption initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business process needs into practical systemic solutions.

  • Project and result-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to deal with multiple priorities in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

  • Flexible, can-do attitude, continuous improvement mindset.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree level qualifications or equivalent workplace experience required.

Job specific requirements:

  • 4-8 years of operational and business experience working and using SAP / multi systems environment.

  • Hands-on experience of working in a warehouse with WMS systems & operations with strong knowledge of the requirements, processes, and principles.

Experience in project management

Travel requirements:  Very limited travel is expected for ad hoc regional team meetings or project phase, but majority of work will be through business communication platforms (MS Team, SharePoint etc).
