Roles & responsibilities 
The Azure Data Engineer in GTS - DES is an entry-level position for fresh graduates from Campus. Individual will join the GDC Technology Solutions (GTS) team, supporting the Clients on Audit Data & Analytics domain. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and develop foundational skills in ETL, Building data pipelines, data engineering Services on Azure cloud platform. Individual will work under the guidance and support of seniors and managers within Data Engineering team, ERP teams and D&A development, primarily support on Big Data Analytics, Data Ingestion and insights and Data extraction and transformation,

Key Responsibilities:
Data Transformation & Integration 
Assist in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Azure Data Factory and Databricks under senior support
Support the development and maintenance of Python/PySpark notebooks for basic business logic.
Help integrate data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) into Azure-based workflows
Support Audit teams on Financial D&A and insights using multiple technologies
Workflow Development 
Participate in designing and managing simple data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Apply basic optimization techniques for data processing as directed.
Quality & Compliance 
Ensure adherence to audit methodology and data governance standards
Maintain documentation for processes and workflows
Deliver high quality deliverables to US Audit teams

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
Basic understanding of:
Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, PySpark, and Python.
SQL and notebook development; RDBMS; Visualization tool - PBI
Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) concepts
Basic knowledge of Gen AI
Enabling Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and deliver within timelines.
Flexibility to work on different projects/technologies.
Eagerness to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
