Oracle DBA - Subcontractor

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA with OS upgrade experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Oracle database systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. This role will also involve planning and executing OS upgrades, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and providing technical support to our team. The Oracle DBA will work closely with IT team members and other stakeholders to ensure that our database systems meet the needs of our organization and remain up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.

Required Experience: 7-10yrs

Responsibilities
•    Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases.
•    Perform OS upgrades and apply patches as necessary.
•    Monitor and optimize database performance and manage database security.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, and provide on-call support as needed.

Required Skills
•    Proficient in Oracle Database Administration with a strong understanding of Oracle Database Architecture.
•    Experience in OS upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
•    Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
•    A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.Preferred Skills
•    Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
•    Experience with Oracle Exadata.
•    Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate.
•    Understanding of Oracle EBS.
•    Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
•    Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
•    Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
•    Understanding of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
•    Familiarity with shell scripting.
•    Knowledge of performance tuning.
