The job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Oracle Fusion Test Engineer to join our established Oracle CoE. This role will support the Finance organization in the successful delivery of both project initiatives and operational enhancements across the Oracle ecosystem.

As a key member of the Oracle CoE Testing team, you will contribute throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions meet business, functional, and quality expectations before deployment. In addition to supporting testing activities, you will collaborate with the broader QA community to drive testing best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and the overall maturity of quality assurance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, and support testing activities across Oracle Fusion Cloud applications.

• Perform comprehensive manual testing, including:

  • Smoke Testing

  • Sanity Testing

  • Functional Testing

  • System Integration Testing (SIT)

  • Regression Testing

  • Data Migration Testing

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Analyse business and functional requirements to develop effective test scenarios, test cases, and validation strategies.

• Execute end-to-end testing to ensure business processes function as designed across integrated Oracle applications.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management, execution tracking, defect management, and reporting.

• Manage end-to-end testing activities using Azure DevOps (ADO), including the creation, maintenance, execution, and tracking of test cases, test suites, and test plans to ensure complete test coverage and requirements traceability.

• Maintain testing governance and reporting within ADO by documenting test results, defects, risks, and quality metrics, while ensuring accurate linkage of requirements, test artefacts, defects, and deployment activities throughout the testing lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defect lifecycle management, and requirements traceability.

• Identify, document, track, and manage defects through to resolution, collaborating closely with development and functional teams.

• Support release validation activities and provide quality sign-off recommendations based on testing outcomes.

• Contribute to the development and adoption of QA standards, methodologies, and best practices.

• Participate in project planning, requirement reviews, risk assessments, and test strategy discussions.

Essential requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.

• Strong functional testing experience with Oracle Fusion Applications.

• Proven ability to perform comprehensive end-to-end validation across Oracle Fusion business processes.

• Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.

• Experience in requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.

• Proficiency in defect lifecycle management, including logging, prioritization, tracking, retesting, and closure.

• Strong knowledge of integration testing and validation across multiple business processes and systems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, project managers, and business users.

• Experience working within global teams comprising both onshore and offshore resources.

• Ability to provide accurate and proactive status reporting to project and management stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.

• Demonstrated passion for enhancing testing methodologies, quality standards, and overall solution quality.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• This positions the role as an Oracle Fusion functional tester who not only performs end-to-end testing but also owns test governance, documentation, traceability, and execution management through Azure DevOps, which is a key expectation in modern QA team for the Oracle CoE.

Hybrid working

We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection. Some positions are fully office-based depending on the nature of the work, and certain roles that support specific customers or markets may be remote.
