Job Description - Data Visualization Engineer

Experience: 6-12 Years | Primary Skills: Power BI, DAX, MSBI

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Visualization Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, and the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS). The candidate will design, develop, and optimize enterprise reporting and analytics solutions, transforming complex business requirements into impactful dashboards and insights. Exposure to Microsoft Fabric Data Analyst capabilities is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build complex DAX calculations, KPIs, measures, and data models.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports for operational and management reporting.
• Create and manage ETL processes using SSIS.
• Design and optimize SSAS Tabular/Multidimensional models.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into visualization solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance tuning, and report optimization.
• Implement reporting governance, security, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders.
• Support UAT, production deployment, and ongoing enhancements.

Required Skills

• 6-12 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Visualization.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Experience with MSBI technologies: SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with report scheduling, subscriptions, and security models.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Microsoft Fabric Data Analyst experience.
• Fabric Lakehouse, Semantic Models, Dataflows, and Real-Time Analytics exposure.
• Azure Data Services knowledge.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
