Position : SAP Master Data Management (MDM) Consultant

Experience : 4-5 Years

Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced SAP MDM Consultant with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Migration, Data Cleansing, Data Validation, and Data Governance activities. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end master data migration from legacy systems to SAP, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and successful migration across multiple SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities :

• Gather and analyze master data requirements from business stakeholders.
• Understand legacy/source system data models, structures, and business rules.
• Prepare source-to-target mapping documents and Key Design Specifications (KDS).
• Define data transformation, validation, and migration rules.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, standardization, and enrichment activities.
• Identify duplicate records, data inconsistencies, and quality issues; prepare remediation reports.
• Coordinate with business users to obtain missing or incorrect master data.
• Prepare migration templates and upload files as per SAP requirements.
• Execute master data migration using SAP LSMW, SAP Data Migration Cockpit, and related migration tools.
• Validate migrated data and perform reconciliation between source and SAP systems.
• Generate migration status reports, reconciliation reports, and data quality reports.
• Support SIT, UAT, Cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare activities.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business teams to resolve migration issues.

Technical Skills :

• Strong experience in SAP Master Data Migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SAP LSMW
• SAP Data Migration Cockpit
• SAP S/4HANA Migration Tools
• MS Excel (Advanced)
• SQL Queries
• Knowledge of SAP tables and master data structures.
• Experience in data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and reconciliation processes.
• Understanding of data quality and governance principles.

Functional Knowledge

Experience in one or more SAP modules:

• SAP HCM
• SAP MM
• SAP SD
• SAP FI/CO
• SAP PP
• SAP PM

Master data objects such as:

• Employee Master
• Business Partner
• Customer Master
• Vendor Master
• Material Master
• Asset Master
• Organizational Data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA/Data Migration is an added advantage.

Preferred Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Good documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
• Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation or migration project.

Nice to Have

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Exposure to SAP MDG (Master Data Governance).
• Knowledge of data governance and master data management best practices.
