Food for Development Director

We are looking for a Food for Development Director to support the development of sustainable business opportunities through school feeding, nutrition, dairy development, and food security initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with governments, development agencies, NGOs, UN organizations, customers, and internal stakeholders to create shared value for communities while supporting business growth.

This position will be based in our Gurgaon, India office and will report into Vice President Food for Development.

What you will do

As a Food for Development Director, you will:

• Develop and strengthen partnerships with governments, NGOs, development agencies, and international organizations to expand participation in school feeding and nutrition programmes.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities while supporting and protecting existing programmes and partnerships.
• Support customers and commercial teams in developing nutritious products and solutions for school feeding and other social programmes.
• Collaborate with Tetra Pak customers to develop and implement Dairy Hub project and initiatives.
• Drive long-term development projects from opportunity identification through implementation and follow-up.
• Promote the benefits of nutrition and school and social feeding programmes through events, conferences, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Coordinate with research institutions to assess and measure the impact of school nutrition programmes on children's health, attendance, and development.
• Share best practices and contribute to the global Food for Development network

We believe you have

• A full time Bachelor's degree or equivalent university education with at least 10 plus years of relevant experience.
• Experience in business development, preferably within developing markets.
• Experience working with governments, development agencies, NGOs, international organizations, or public-sector stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building capabilities.
• Understanding of customer value chains, business drivers, and commercial environments.
• Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple long-term initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
