About the Role

As a Senior Quality Analyst in the AIGP/Data Solutions team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our digital products. You’ll architect and evolve automated testing frameworks, mentor developers in quality practices, and collaborate with global teams across Germany, UK, and India. This role offers the opportunity to shape testing strategies, influence product architecture, and contribute to impactful solutions used by the scientific community worldwide.

Role Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain robust, extensible automated testing frameworks.
• Mentor developers and guide effective testing practices to ensure quality at scale.
• Define and communicate best practices, guidelines, and standards for test automation.
• Create and manage comprehensive test suite strategies, focusing on high-value scenarios.
• Analyze test results, optimize coverage, and uphold application reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to align testing with business needs.
• Stay abreast of emerging tools and practices, implementing improvements proactively.
• Support global teams in design, implementation, and release from an automation perspective.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• 6–10 years of experience as a Senior Quality Analyst, Automation Engineer, or similar role.
• Expertise in scalable test automation frameworks and manual testing fundamentals.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (Java, Scala, Python, JavaScript, React).
• Proven experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
• End-to-end testing experience (UI, API, database).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Strong database testing skills (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience with accessibility testing tools (Axe, WAVE).
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools (Burp Suite).
• Certification in testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB).
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to quality assurance workflows (e.g., intelligent test case generation, anomaly detection, predictive defect analysis) to increase productivity and efficiency.
  

What you will be doing:
Within 3 Months you will:

• Get familiar with our technology stack. Our application is built in Java,Scala and React, Docker, Unix. Our applications is deployed to GCP.
• Get to know the various Stakeholders and their general requirements.
• Take part in reducing technical debt by working with team mates to add test coverage.
• Get to know all members of the team.

By 3-6 months you will:

• Have a basic understanding of the team’s context, product’s business model.
• Build more knowledge of the product, domain and mentor new teammates.
• On-board new team members and setup their machines and help them get up to speed fast.
• Be able to understand and discuss business requirements with stakeholders and Product Managers and help other disciplines with these conversations.
• Gain trust and confidence of project stakeholders.
• Hold technical discussions with the team in order to improve the product architecture and code quality and build more understanding of the overall product.

By 6-12 months you will:

• Build solid understanding of the product’s business domain and have a technical expertise to participate in discussion for Design and architectural changes.
• Onboard new members to the team or help other teams in the onboarding process.
• Transform high level requirements into actionable work.
• Work with global teams on plan, Design, implementation from an
• Automation perspective and release.
• Architect, develop, and maintain a robust, extensible automated testing
• framework for a product in Java/Scala for a product and help the team to
• solve different scenarios innovatively to avoid issues in LIVE.
• Proactively provide useful and actionable feedback to all team members and stakeholders.
• Triage support queries and diagnose issues in the live applications.
