EY GDS- Assurance FAAS – Manager – Trade Operations Specialist

We provide advisory services encompassing:

  • Accounting, reporting and controlling process assessment and design including information systems implementation
  • Finance process optimization and automation incl. Robotics Process Automation
  • Accounting and regulatory support on accounting change in IFRS (IFRS conversion and implementation, new standards implementation)
  • Financial consolidation
  • Transactions accounting
  • Audit readiness and audit remediation services
  • Finance function strategic transformation
  • Data analytics and visualization
  • Investment Accounting, hedge accounting and derivative accounting
  • Short term assignments to finance functions – accounting specialist, compliance specialist, consolidation specialist, controller etc.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Collateral Management Operations

  • Lead end-to-end collateral management processes for OTC derivative portfolios across various asset classes.
  • Provide oversight over exposure calculations and validate margin requirements in accordance with client methodologies and collateral agreements.
  • Review and challenge collateral balances, margin movements and settlement information to lead ongoing collateral management activities.
  • Oversee collateral eligibility, thresholds, minimum transfer amounts and other key agreement terms.
  • Lead collateral call administration activities through preparation, validation and tracking of collateral requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence, process standardization and automation initiatives.

Reconciliations and Exception Management

  • Oversee reconciliations and exception management processes across counterparties and internal records.
  • Manage escalation and resolution of collateral breaks, valuation differences, operational/ aged exceptions and collateral-related discrepancies.
  • Monitor KPI/ KRI reporting, trackers, issue logs and exception reporting.

CSA and Documentation Support

  • Review and interpret Credit Support Annex (CSA) provisions and provide guidance to document key collateral terms within operational processes.
  • Lead collateral onboarding activities and operational readiness assessments.
  • Maintain governance collateral reference data, procedures, SOPs and controls.

Reporting, Controls and Governance

  • Manage collateral management reports, dashboards and management information packs.
  • Monitoring of key risk indicators, operational metrics and service-level agreements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with client management and global stakeholders.
  • Supervise engagement execution, planning, budgeting and resource management.

Our Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience in Collateral Management, Treasury Operations, Derivatives Operations, Capital Markets Operations or Risk Operations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, complemented with a further relevant professional education (e.g. Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or ACCA)
  • Experience supporting FX, derivatives, fixed income or money market products.
  • Advanced Excel/Power BI skills/ data analytics - familiarity with data visualization and reconciliations.
  • Strong knowledge of collateral management and OTC derivative operations.
  • Good understanding of IFRS/US GAAP and International auditing standards.
  • Knowledge of IFRS/ US GAAP for financial instruments
  • Knowledge of ISDA and CSA documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability and comfort level in overseeing client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations,industry practices and new technologies.
