Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Act as the primary contact for customers regarding shipment status, inquiries, and service requests.
• Provide timely shipment updates and milestone tracking.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues professionally.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Coordinate with sales teams to support customer requirements and business growth.
• Ensure customer SOPs and service expectations are met.

Operations Management

• Coordinate export and import shipments via Ocean Freight.
• Arrange bookings with shipping lines, transporters, and overseas agents.
• Monitor shipment movement from origin to destination.
• Ensure timely cargo pickup, stuffing, transportation, customs clearance, and delivery.
• Manage shipment exceptions and operational disruptions.
• Coordinate closely with transport vendors and customs brokers.
• Verify document accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure timely invoicing and revenue recognition.
• Verify vendor invoices and operational costs.

 

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with shipping lines, CHA partners, transporters.
• Coordinate with origin and destination offices to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Follow up on shipment milestones and document submission timelines.

KPI Management

• Update shipment information in systems.
• Maintain operational reports and shipment trackers.
• Monitor KPIs such as:
  • On-time shipment execution
  • Documentation accuracy
  • Customer response time
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Shipment profitability
