Technology->Mainframe Technologies->Mainframe Technologies- ALL Preferred Qualifications: - Experience handling end-to-end delivery: requirement understanding, development, unit testing, and release support. - Strong debugging skills for batch and online flows, including abend analysis and performance improvements. - Exposure to structured development practices such as code reviews, documentation standards, and change management. - Ability to collaborate effectively with QA, operations, and business teams to ensure smooth delivery and production stability. - Proven track record of improving reliability or efficiency of batch cycles and CICS transactions in production environments. Key Responsibilities: Application Development & Enhancements - Design, develop, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL aligned to functional and technical requirements. - Create and maintain JCL for batch processing, scheduling readiness, and reliable job execution. - Develop, modify, and support online components using CICS as required by application flows. - Perform unit testing, debug defects, and ensure code quality through structured reviews and standards compliance. Production Support & Stability - Analyze and resolve incidents, batch failures, and abends; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive fixes. - Monitor and tune batch performance, improving efficiency and reliability of critical processing cycles. - Collaborate with QA and release teams to support deployments, validations, and post-release verification. Documentation & Collaboration - Maintain clear technical documentation for programs, job streams, and operational procedures. - Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate effort, and deliver on timelines. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in BTECH, BCA, MCA, or MTECH (or equivalent). - 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Mainframe developer. - Strong development experience with Mainframe technologies including COBOL and JCL. - Working knowledge of CICS for online transaction processing and support. - Ability to troubleshoot issues, interpret logs/outputs, and deliver stable fixes with attention to detail.
