Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for leading end-to-end planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across residential projects, ensuring delivery in line with project scope, schedules, quality standards, budgets, and statutory requirements.

 

 

Job Description

About the Role:

• Serve as the central coordination point for all MEP planning, execution, and project control activities, ensuring alignment among clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Lead the development and review of MEP execution plans, including scope definition, work sequencing, procurement schedules, resource planning, and construction methodologies to support project delivery objectives.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure MEP designs, procurement activities, and site execution are accurately reflected in integrated project schedules and aligned with overall project milestones.

• Conduct regular MEP review meetings to monitor progress, track critical activities, resolve interface issues, assess project risks, and ensure timely implementation of approved changes.

General Responsibilities 

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, work programs, resource plans, and cost estimates for feasibility, constructability, quality compliance, and adherence to contractual requirements.

• Monitor MEP installation progress against approved schedules, identify delays and deviations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely project completion.

• Coordinate procurement activities by tracking long-lead MEP equipment, vendor deliverables, material approvals, and delivery schedules to ensure seamless execution.

• Conduct periodic site inspections to verify work progress, assess installation quality, ensure safety compliance, and identify potential bottlenecks affecting project timelines.

• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with design intent, statutory requirements, and client expectations.

• Track project progress through MIS reports, dashboards, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to project leadership and stakeholders.

• Support cost control initiatives by monitoring quantities, variations, change orders, and certification processes related to MEP packages.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, look-ahead schedules, risk registers, issue logs, commissioning schedules, and handover documentation to support project governance and decision-making.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering /Mechanical Engineering

• 4-6 years of experience in project management for large-scale, Commercial projects within a PMC, developer, or consulting environment.

• Strong understanding of HVAC, Electrical Systems, Fire Fighting Systems, Plumbing & Public Health Engineering (PHE), ELV systems, testing & commissioning processes, and relevant codes and standards.

• Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools (MSP/Primavera), and MIS/reporting systems.

• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive teams toward timely and quality project delivery.
