As a Human Resources Business Advisor, India Branch, Vice President in Human Resources, you will partner with senior leaders and colleagues to align people priorities with business objectives across India Branch. You will advise on talent, organizational effectiveness, culture, workforce planning, and employee relations topics with sound judgment and discretion. You’ll collaborate across specialist teams to deliver a consistent employee experience while supporting local governance and people risk management. You would also be supporting the HR regulatory agenda for the Branch.

Job responsibilities 

• Partner with leaders and Human Resources colleagues to execute talent, organizational, and workforce strategies aligned to business objectives
• Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development priorities
• Guide managers through performance management, talent reviews, development planning, and retention actions
• Provide employee relations guidance by assessing risk, recommending actions, and coaching managers through complex situations
• Coordinate with specialist partners to deliver people programs, leader enablement, and a consistent employee experience
• Analyze workforce trends and people metrics to identify issues, root causes, and improvement opportunities
• Support compensation and promotion processes through strong governance, manager education, and data quality discipline
• Promote inclusive practices and support diversity, opportunity, and inclusion efforts within the employee experience
• Apply external market intelligence and trends to inform people strategy and practical solutions
• Maintain appropriate controls, documentation, and oversight across critical Human Resources processes in line with local governance expectations
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across businesses, functions, and regional/global partners to drive execution

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 8 years of relevant Human Resources experience, including partnering with business leaders on people initiatives
• Demonstrated experience across talent management, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning
• Demonstrated experience providing employee relations guidance and coaching managers through resolution
• Proven ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior leaders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to use data and metrics to form recommendations
• Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management capability
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex, and matrixed environment
• Strong project management and execution skills with attention to detail

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

• Knowledge of India employment practices and the local regulatory environment
• Experience supporting leaders in a global organization with cross-regional stakeholder partnerships
• Experience advising senior leaders on organizational and talent initiatives
• Familiarity with workforce analytics and data-driven Human Resources practices
• Experience supporting governance activities such as audits, reviews, or risk and control routines related to people processes
• Prior experience partnering with teams across the Asia Pacific region
