Materials Engineer
Project Role : Materials EngineerProject Role Description : Develop, select, and optimize materials to ensure components and systems meet performance, safety, and sustainability goals. Analyze material properties, design for durability and efficiency, and oversee testing and quality assurance throughout the lifecycle. Solve challenges such as corrosion, wear, and thermal behavior while collaborating across engineering disciplines to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
Must have skills : Aircraft Structures
Good to have skills : Aerospace & Defense (A&D), Aircraft Manufacturing, Aircraft Structural Analysis
Minimum 0-2 year(s) of experience is required
Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education
Summary:
As a Materials Engineer, your typical day involves developing and selecting appropriate materials to ensure that various components and systems achieve their intended performance, safety, and sustainability objectives. You will analyze the properties of different materials, design solutions that enhance durability and efficiency, and oversee rigorous testing and quality assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle. Your role includes addressing challenges related to corrosion, wear, and thermal behavior, while working collaboratively with professionals from multiple engineering disciplines to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions that meet project requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to build knowledge and support the team.
- Participate in Problem Solving discussions.
- Assist in the documentation and reporting of material testing results to ensure transparency and traceability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate material solutions into overall system designs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance material performance and cost efficiency.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Aircraft Structures.
- Strong understanding of material properties and their impact on structural integrity and performance.
- Experience with analyzing and interpreting data related to material behavior under various environmental conditions.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards relevant to material testing and validation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to address complex engineering challenges.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 0-2 years of experience in Aircraft Structures.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
