Job Description:

What You’ll Do

• Manage a portfolio focused on recourse commercial real estate transactions within the Wealth Management division.
• Partner directly with Relationship Managers and product specialists -and, where required, with clients- to understand credit requirements and optimize risk structures. Provide detailed risk analysis, communicate decisions promptly and transparently and clearly document approval conditions.
• Monitor the portfolio to identify emerging risks promptly and assess how global, regional, and local market events could affect individual exposures and the portfolio as a whole. Maintain satisfactory portfolio quality by managing risk concentrations and limits within approved risk appetite and in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Work with both internal and external auditors to ensure that audits progress smoothly and any issues raised are resolved promptly. Support any ad hoc projects assigned.
• Maintain strong credit and operational discipline by ensuring that trades are properly booked and recorded, covenants and conditions are monitored on time, credit terms are documented accurately, and risk-reporting systems contain complete, timely, and accurate information.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to colleagues at different levels of seniority, strengthening the team’s commercial real estate expertise and supporting continued professional growth.
• Set clear objectives and strategic priorities for yourself and assigned resources, ensuring alignment with departmental and bank-wide goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, analytics, and reporting capabilities.

Skills You’ll Need

• Extensive relevant experience in commercial real estate, including recourse analysis, together with strong analytical skills and experience in corporate credit risk assessment.
• Understanding of a broad range of Wealth Management investment, lending, and derivative products.
• Familiarity with legal documentation and credit-risk considerations, including risk-mitigation features.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise, decision-ready credit reports.
• An open mindset and respect for constructive challenge and differing stakeholder perspectives.

• Preferred qualification: a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, statistics, finance, or a related field; an MBA is also valued.
