Job Description
Senior Accountant – Bachoomal Sons Group, Agra
Location: Sadar Bazar, Agra (on-site)
Experience: 7+ years
Salary 30k+
Bachoomal Sons, established in 1981, is a premium multi-brand fashion showroom in Agra with about 185 employees. Our group also includes a garment distribution business and a private limited investment company. We're looking for an experienced senior accountant to manage accounts and compliance across the group.
Key responsibilities
- Keep complete books of accounts for several group entities in Tally Prime
- Complete the monthly closing by the 10th, with bank, vendor, customer and stock reconciliations
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C) and reconcile them with GSTR-2A/2B
- Calculate TDS/TCS, deposit it and file the returns. Calculate advance tax.
- Prepare replies and supporting data for GST notices, audits and appeals, working with our CA
- Account for equity, F&O and capital gains transactions for the investment company
- Support the statutory audit, tax audit and ROC compliance of the private limited company
- Prepare MIS reports for management: sales, purchases, margins, cash flow and outstandings
- Supervise and check the work of junior accounts staff
Requirements
- B.Com or M.Com. CA Inter or semi-qualified CA preferred.
- At least 7 years of hands-on accounting experience. Experience in retail, distribution or at a CA firm is preferred.
- Strong Tally Prime skills plus practical knowledge of GST, TDS and income tax
- Has handled GST notices, scrutiny or departmental audits
- Good Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
- Experience handling several companies or entities at once is a strong plus
- Honest, organised and able to meet deadlines
