Camera Man Head – Jinvani Channel (Jain Candidates Preference)

Job Description

Role Overview: The Camera Man Head (also called Chief Cameraperson / Camera Supervisor) is responsible for:

• Leading the camera team
• Managing video production quality
• Planning and executing shoots (studio + outdoor)

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Supervise and guide cameramen and assistants
• Assign duties for shoots, events, and programs
• Train junior camera operators.

Camera Operations

• Operate professional video cameras when needed
• Decide camera angles, framing, lighting coordination
• Ensure high-quality visuals for broadcast.

Production Planning

• Work with directors, producers, and editors
• Plan camera setups for:

1. Live telecasts (Pravachan, Religious events)
2. Studio Recordings.
3. Outdoor Coverage.

Equipment Management

• Maintain cameras, lenses, tripods, and accessories
• Ensure proper storage and handling
• Coordinate repairs and upgrades.

Technical Quality Control

• Monitor video clarity, focus, exposure, and color
• Ensure broadcast standards are met
• Troubleshoot technical issues during shoots.

Live Broadcast Handling

• Manage multi-camera setups for live programs
• Coordinate with control room during live telecast
• Handle quick decisions under pressure.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of video cameras & lighting
• Leadership and team management
• Understanding of live TV production
• Problem-solving under time pressure
• Basic knowledge of editing and broadcasting systems.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in:

• Mass Communication
• Film & Television Production
• 3–8+ years of experience in camera work (for head role).

Special Note (for Jinvani Channel)Since Jinvani Channel focuses on Jain religious and spiritual content:

• Respect for religious environment is important
• Experience in covering Pravachan, temple events, or spiritual programs is a plus
• Flexible timing (early morning / festival coverage).

Work Environment

• Studio + outdoor locations
• Religious events, temples, and community gatherings
• Sometimes long or irregular hours (especially live events)
