IT Administrator – Job Description

Position: IT Administrator

Industry: Jewellery Retail / Showroom

Experience: Any

Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in IT, Computer Science or related field

Location: Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT equipment across showrooms and offices.
• Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting to employees.
• Manage and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity and networking.
• Handle and maintain CCTV systems, DVR/NVR and camera connectivity.
• Support and maintain billing/POS software, barcode scanners, biometric systems and other showroom-related software.
• Coordinate with software vendors/service providers for technical issues and system updates.
• Manage user accounts, email IDs, passwords and system access as per company requirements.
• Ensure regular data backup and basic data security for important company information.
• Install, configure and update operating systems, software and antivirus programs.
• Maintain proper records of IT assets, hardware, software and licenses.
• Monitor system performance and identify potential technical issues before they affect business operations.
• Assist in implementing IT security policies and access controls.
• Provide IT support during new showroom setup, system installation and employee onboarding.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of company and customer data.
• Handle any other IT-related requirements assigned by management.

Skills Required:

• Good knowledge of hardware & software troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of networking, LAN, Wi-Fi & routers
• Knowledge of CCTV systems
• Knowledge of Windows, MS Office and antivirus
• Basic understanding of POS/Billing software
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate with external IT vendors
• Quick learner with a service-oriented approach

Fresher:

Freshers with a good understanding of computers, networking, hardware/software troubleshooting and strong willingness to learn can also apply.

Preferred:

Experience in retail, jewellery showroom or multi-branch business environment will be an added advantage.
