Account And Finance Manager

•         Own the purchase accounting process end-to-end - ensure accuracy and timeliness of postings, correct project/cost-center allocation, and drive process discipline across the team.

•         Establish and monitor Purchase vs. Sales vs. Actual Stock reporting, using it to identify inventory leakages, project cost overruns, and working capital inefficiencies.

•         Own the receivables/payables function - set ageing benchmarks, monitor overdue exposure, and work with sales/procurement teams to resolve collection and payment bottlenecks.

•         Prepare and present the company's P&L to leadership, with commentary on margins, cost trends, and project-wise profitability.

•         Lead the Budget vs. Actual review process - partner with department/project heads to set budgets, track variances, and recommend corrective actions.

•         Own monthly MIS and Income vs. Expense reporting for management and leadership, ensuring the numbers support business decision-making.

•         Oversee payroll accuracy and compliance in coordination with HR, ensuring statutory deductions and timely disbursement.

•         Govern the PO-to-invoice cycle - ensure approval workflows are followed, POs are tracked to closure, and invoice mismatches are resolved promptly.

•         Oversee the Proforma-to-Tax-Invoice conversion process, ensuring compliance with approvals and statutory requirements (GST/tax accuracy).

•         Drive cash flow visibility and working capital management across projects/contracts.

•         Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF/ESI, etc.) and lead coordination with auditors for statutory/internal audits.

•         Build and mentor the finance team, review their work, and strengthen internal controls and SOPs.

•         Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Finance; MBA/CA (Inter or Qualified) preferred.

•         Experience in core finance and accounts, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing setup.

•         Strong in P&L, budgeting, and MIS reporting.

•         Proficient in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel.

•         Good analytical skills with attention to detail.

•         Ability to lead and manage a small team.

•         Strong communication skills to work with management, vendors, and auditors.

•         Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
