Job Description
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, payments).
- Should be handy with Tally
- Process accounts payable: receive invoices, code them, enter into accounting system, and prepare payments.
- Process accounts receivable: generate and send invoices, record payments, follow up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile bank statements with internal records.
- Assist in month-end / year-end closing activities.
- Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Assist in payroll processing (if applicable) — updating employee info, processing reimbursements, etc.
- Help prepare and organize financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow) or assist senior accountants in reporting.
- Support audit processes by preparing documentation and answering auditor queries.
- Handle petty cash, credit card transaction tracking, and other day-to-day cash management.
- Provide administrative support: filing, scanning, data entry, managing receipts, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and tax regulations (GST/TDS or relevant local laws)
