Assembly FitterJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Assembly Fitter responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical components and machine parts as per technical drawings and specifications. The candidate should have good hands-on knowledge of fitting tools, measurements, and mechanical assembly work.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform assembly and fitting of mechanical components, parts, and equipment.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings and assembly diagrams.
• Use hand tools and power tools such as spanners, wrenches, drills, grinders, and torque tools.
• Perform cutting, drilling, grinding, filing, alignment, and fitting as required.
• Assemble components according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, tightening, and fitting of components.
• Identify and rectify fitting and assembly defects.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting during assembly.
• Follow production schedules and complete assembly work within given timelines.
• Inspect finished assemblies for proper fit, movement, and functionality.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in proper condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
• Coordinate with production, welding, machining, and quality teams whenever required.
• Maintain proper records and report assembly-related issues to the supervisor.
• Candidate RequirementsPrevious hands-on experience as an Assembly Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Fitter preferred.
• Good knowledge of mechanical fitting and assembly work.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and fitting tools.
• Ability to perform drilling, grinding, cutting, alignment, and component fitting.
• ITI Fitter / Mechanical qualification will be preferred.
• Good understanding of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Safety-conscious, disciplined, and quality-oriented.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
