Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Chocolate R&D Chef / Product Development Executive who can help us convert our research into real chocolate products.

The candidate will work closely with our founder and Food Technologist to develop new chocolate recipes, conduct experiments, improve formulations, and create unique chocolate products.

This is a Research & Development (R&D) role, not a production-line manufacturing job.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare experimental chocolate batches based on provided formulations.
  • Understand the function of different chocolate ingredients and adjust formulations when required.
  • Experiment with cocoa, cocoa butter, milk solids, sweeteners, natural flavours, emulsifiers, and other food ingredients.
  • Develop new chocolate recipes through trial and error.
  • Improve taste, texture, aroma, mouthfeel, and melting characteristics.
  • Maintain detailed records of every experiment.
  • Suggest ingredient substitutions when required.
  • Conduct multiple small-batch trials before finalizing recipes.
  • Assist in scaling recipes from laboratory batches to pilot production.
  • Ensure proper hygiene and food safety practices during all experiments.
  • Work with different moulds, fillings, inclusions, coatings, and chocolate varieties.
  • Support shelf-life and stability testing.
