VMC Machine Operator

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator for job work and production. The candidate must be capable of machine setting, program trial, and operating the machine independently. Knowledge of precision instruments like bore gauge and micrometer is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  Perform independent setting of VMC machines as per job requirements.

  Take program trials and make necessary corrections in offsets or tool parameters.

  Operate VMC machines for job work and production in accordance with drawings and tolerances.

  Use measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc., for quality inspection.

  Load/unload components and ensure proper clamping and tooling setup.

  Maintain quality and productivity standards on the shop floor.

  Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining instructions.

  Perform routine maintenance of the machine and keep the work area clean.

  Coordinate with the supervisor and quality team for smooth production flow.

Requirements:

  ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field.

  Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a VMC operator.

  Must know machine setting, program trial, and tool offset adjustments.

  Proficiency in handling bore gauges, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

  Ability to work independently and follow technical drawings.

Preferred:

  Experience in automobile, die-mold, or precision engineering industry.

  Willingness to work in shifts if required.
