Job Summary

The Draughtsman is responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, detailed plans, sections, elevations, and execution drawings based on project requirements and design standards. The role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy, proper documentation, timely revisions, and smooth project execution.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Technical Drawing Preparation

Prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and related drafting software.

Develop plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings as per project requirements.

Ensure drawings comply with company standards and technical specifications.

Cross-check dimensions, scales, and annotations before final submission.

Update and revise drawings based on design changes and site feedback.

2. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site teams for drawing requirements.

Attend site visits and meetings to collect technical information when required.

Clarify technical drawing details with execution teams.

Alert the team regarding design clashes or drafting issues.

Support project teams in day-to-day drawing and documentation activities.

3. Drawing Verification & Documentation

Review drawings for accuracy before issue and execution.

Maintain systematic backups and digital archives of all drawings.

Provide printed drawing sets for site and consultant teams when required.

Maintain records of drawing revisions and daily work updates.

Ensure proper document filing and project drawing organization.

4. Project Support & Timeline Management

Support execution teams with drawing-related clarifications.

Ensure project drawing submissions are completed within deadlines.

Coordinate with supervisors for design and project coordination.

Monitor drawing status and maintain workflow efficiency.

Help ensure project timelines related to drawings are achieved.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / Certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Knowledge of architectural and interior detailed drawings.
• Understanding of construction drawings, dimensions, and technical standards.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple drawing tasks and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation management.
