Sono Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists and sonography doctors during diagnostic procedures
• Prepare patients for MRI, CT Scan, X-Ray, Sonography, Doppler, and other investigations
• Assist in sonography procedures and patient positioning
• Handle patient coordination for ultrasound examinations
• Perform IV cannulation and assist in contrast administration for CT/MRI studies
• Monitor patient condition before and after procedures
• Maintain patient records and nursing documentation
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and infection control protocols
• Coordinate with reception, technicians, and medical staff

Required Skills

• Knowledge of sonography patient preparation and assistance
• Experience assisting in ultrasound and Doppler procedures preferred
• IV line insertion / cannulation skills
• Basic emergency patient handling knowledge
• Good communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to manage OPD patient flow efficiently
• Basic computer knowledge preferred

Qualifications

• GNM / B.Sc Nursing / ANM qualification
• Valid nursing registration preferred
• Experience in hospital, diagnostic centre, sonography, or radiology setup preferred
