We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Barista to lead our coffee program, maintain exceptional beverage quality, and help create memorable guest experiences.

Role Overview

Head Barista will be responsible for overseeing all coffee operations, maintaining specialty coffee standards, training and mentoring baristas, managing inventory, and ensuring consistent quality across every cup served. This role combines technical coffee expertise with leadership and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coffee Quality & Beverage ExcellenceEnsure consistent preparation of espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, manual brews, teas, and specialty drinks.
• Monitor espresso extraction, brew ratios, grinder calibration, and beverage presentation daily.
• Develop seasonal beverages and signature menu offerings.
• Conduct regular quality checks and cupping sessions.
• Team Leadership & TrainingTrain, mentor, and evaluate baristas on coffee knowledge, brewing techniques, customer service, and workflow efficiency.
• Create and maintain beverage preparation SOPs.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and learning-oriented work culture.
• Schedule and supervise barista shifts as required.

Operations & Inventory Management

• Monitor coffee bean usage, milk consumption, syrups, and café supplies.
• Manage ordering and inventory levels to minimize waste.
• Coordinate with vendors and roasters regarding coffee quality and deliveries.
• Maintain equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate servicing when needed.

Customer Experience

• Deliver warm, engaging, and knowledgeable service to guests.
• Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and menu offerings.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and proactively.

Community & EventsSupport

• Support coffee workshops, cuppings, tasting sessions, and community events hosted by Rahee.
• Represent Rahee's coffee philosophy and culture during events and collaborations.

Requirements

• 2- 5+ years of specialty coffee experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a senior barista, trainer, or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, manual brewing methods, and coffee fundamentals.
• Experience with coffee equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Passion for hospitality, community building, and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• SCA certification or equivalent coffee education.
• Experience conducting coffee training programs.
• Experience managing inventory and ordering systems.
• Knowledge of café operations and basic cost control.

Salary Range ₹20000 - ₹ 25000 per month (based on experience and skill level)
