CCTV

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance system at Urban Vault. The role ensures 24/7 vigilance, compliance with safety norms, and effective incident response.

Key Responsibilities

•Surveillance Monitoring

oMonitor CCTV cameras continuously to ensure safety of staff, clients, vendors, visitors, and infrastructure.

oStay alert and observant throughout duty hours.

oImmediately report suspicious activity, violations, or emergencies to the Security Manager.

•Daily Review

oReview previous night’s recordings at the start of each shift.

oIdentify malfunctioning cameras or equipment and report promptly to the IT team via email.

•Access Control

oPrevent unauthorized access to the CCTV Control Room.

oEnsure only designated personnel (CCTV Operator and Security Manager, Sr Management) have access.

•Incident Reporting

oDocument and report all incidents, violations, or emergencies.

oMaintain accurate and confidential records of complaints and cases.

•Ethical Monitoring

oConduct monitoring professionally and ethically, in compliance with legal standards.

oRespect privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of all footage.

•Operational Support

oMonitor gates, entry/exit points, parking areas, and material movement.

oSupport real-time control during emergencies to assist evacuation and incident response if any coordinating with site security team.

•Usage of Information

oUse CCTV data strictly for safety, security, and incident resolution.

oShare relevant observations with the Security Manager daily.

•Retention & Confidentiality

oEnsure recordings are retained for 45 days before automatic overwrite.

oHandle footage only within the secure Control Room.

oPrevent leakage of information and maintain strict confidentiality.

Required Skills & Competencies

•Strong vigilance and attention to detail.

•Ability to remain alert during extended monitoring hours.

•Knowledge of security protocols and incident reporting.

•Technical familiarity with CCTV systems and collaboration with IT teams.

•Ethical judgment and respect for privacy.

•Effective communication skills for reporting and escalation.

Qualifications

•Graduation with Prior experience in security operations or CCTV monitoring preferred.

•Basic IT knowledge for handling surveillance equipment.

•Training in safety, vigilance, and incident management procedures.

Control & Accountability

•Reports directly to the Security Manager.

•Accountable for confidentiality, compliance, and effective monitoring.

•Responsible for preventing information leakage and ensuring operational integrity.
