Job Description
About the roleSimpliWealth is looking for a proactive and customer-focused professional to manage relationships with our existing clients and support the day-to-day operations of our investment and insurance business.
The person in this role will regularly connect with clients, understand their service requirements, resolve queries, and identify opportunities to support their broader financial needs through SIPs, additional investments, insurance solutions and referrals. They will also manage the back-office activities required to process and service investment and insurance transactions.
Over time, the successful candidate is expected to become a trusted point of contact for our clients—someone who understands their requirements, follows through on every commitment and ensures they receive a smooth, reliable experience with SimpliWealth.
Key responsibilities:
Client relationship management:
- Contact existing clients regularly to check whether they have any service requests, concerns or pending requirements.
- Build long-term relationships by understanding each client’s financial needs, preferences and existing portfolio.
- Act as the primary point of contact for investment- and insurance-related service queries.
- Provide timely updates and ensure that every client request is followed through to completion.
- Maintain accurate records of client conversations, requirements and follow-up actions.
- Communicate professionally through phone calls, WhatsApp, email and in-person meetings, when required.
Business development:
- Identify opportunities for new SIPs, additional investments, portfolio consolidation, insurance protection and other suitable financial solutions.
- Follow up with interested clients and coordinate the completion of required transactions.
- Seek referrals from satisfied clients and help expand SimpliWealth’s customer base.
- Reconnect with inactive clients and strengthen their engagement with the company.
- Work toward agreed client-service, retention, referral and business-development targets.
- Ensure that every product discussion is need-based, transparent and compliant with applicable regulations and company policies.
Investment and insurance operations:
- Assist clients with onboarding, KYC, account opening, transaction forms and documentation.
- Process and track investments, redemptions, switches, SIP registrations, modifications and cancellations.
- Support insurance applications, renewals, endorsements, premium payments, claims documentation and policy servicing.
- Coordinate with mutual fund companies, insurers, registrars, platforms and other service providers.
- Check documents for completeness and accuracy before submission.
- Maintain client records, transaction details and supporting documents in an organised and confidential manner.
- Track pending cases, resolve operational issues and ensure transactions are completed within the expected timelines.
- Prepare periodic reports on client follow-ups, pending requests, transactions and business opportunities.
Candidate profile:
- Graduate in commerce, finance, business administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in financial services, mutual funds, wealth management, insurance, banking, customer service or back-office operations is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and an interest in financial services may also be considered.
- Good spoken and written communication skills in English and [insert relevant local languages].
- Comfortable speaking with clients over the phone and conducting regular follow-ups.
- Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships.
- Organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple requests without losing track of deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, email, WhatsApp and office productivity tools.
- Familiarity with mutual funds, SIPs, insurance products and KYC processes would be an advantage.
- Relevant certifications, such as NISM or insurance qualifications, would be preferred where required for the responsibilities of the role.
