Dental Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and well-organized Dental Assistant to support the dentist during dental procedures and ensure smooth day-to-day clinical operations. The candidate will assist with patient care, instrument preparation, sterilization, chairside assistance, and maintaining a clean and hygienic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare the dental chair, instruments, materials, and treatment area before procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance during treatments.
• Prepare and handle dental materials as instructed by the dentist.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and properly store dental instruments.
• Follow strict infection-control and clinic hygiene protocols.
• Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable.
• Assist with taking and maintaining dental records, as required.
• Ensure instruments and clinical supplies are available and properly organized.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock of dental materials and consumables.
• Dispose of biomedical waste safely and according to applicable procedures.
• Clean and maintain the dental operatory and equipment.
• Assist with patient appointments and basic front-desk coordination when required.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Follow the dentist's instructions and clinic policies.
• Report any equipment, stock, or infection-control issues to the clinic management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate in Dental Assisting or relevant healthcare training preferred.
• Previous experience in a dental clinic is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient-friendly and compassionate attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a dental team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow clinical protocols.
• Working ConditionsWork is primarily performed in a dental clinical environment.
• May require standing for extended periods and assisting during multiple procedures.
