Job Description: Electrical Assembly & Testing Technician

Location: Bangalore

Reports To: Head of Production

Department: Electrical / Production

Experience Required: 3+ years

Qualification: ITI (Electrician / Wireman) or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics

Job Purpose

To execute electrical wiring and assembly of products, perform thorough electrical inspection and functional testing of finished units, troubleshoot failures, and design practical testing fixtures and kits to improve reliability and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Wiring & Assembly

·        Perform wiring of harnesses, control panels, joysticks, and assemblies as per drawings

·        Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

·        Create functional and efficient wiring diagrams

·        Route and terminate wires correctly (crimping, ferruling, lugging, soldering where required)

·        Ensure neatness, safety, and reliability of electrical assemblies

·        Follow defined wiring standards and labelling practices

Electrical Inspection & Testing

·        Perform electrical inspection of finished products

·        Conduct continuity testing

·        Verify resistance values

·        Perform functional testing

·        Conduct load testing where required

·        Troubleshoot wiring and functional failures

·        Ensure zero defective electrical units are dispatched

Test Kit / Fixture Development

·        Design and fabricate basic testing kits and jigs

·        Develop continuity testing setups

·        Create load simulation setups

·        Improve testing efficiency and reduce manual errors

·        Standardize testing methods for repeatability

Documentation & Control

·        Prepare test reports for inspected units

·        Maintain test records

·        Support calibration tracking of test instruments

·        Assist in maintaining compliance with CE / UL related electrical requirements

·        Record data in ERP system where applicable

Continuous Improvement

·        Identify recurring electrical failures and propose corrective actions

·        Improve wiring methods to reduce defects

·        Improve test coverage and reliability

·        Support development of structured electrical inspection procedures

Tools & Knowledge Required

·        Multimeter

·        Insulation tester

·        Basic load testing setup

·        Crimping tools

·        Soldering tools

·        Understanding of low-voltage DC systems

·        Basic knowledge of PCB-based assemblies

·        Understanding of relay-based control systems
