Job description
As a UI/UX Graphic Visualizer, your job description would typically include the following responsibilities:
1. User Research: Conduct user research to understand the needs and behaviours of the target audience.
2. Wireframing: Create wireframes to outline the basic structure of web pages or applications.
3. Prototyping: Develop prototypes to demonstrate interactive elements and user flows.
4. Visual Design: Design user interfaces with a focus on maximizing usability and improving the user experience.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, developers, and product managers to ensure design consistency and coherence.
6. User Testing: Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine designs.
7. Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries.
8. Accessibility: Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and provide an inclusive user experience.
9. Branding: Integrate brand elements into the design to enhance brand recognition.
10. Feedback Implementation: Iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytical data.
11. Graphic Assets: Create graphic assets like icons, illustrations, and infographics.
12. Responsive Design: Ensure designs work across different devices and screen sizes.
13. Design Software: Master design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or In Vision.
14. Cross-Functional Communication: Communicate design ideas and rationale to non-design stakeholders.
15. Project Management: Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
16. Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends and technologies.
17. Documentation: Document design processes and decisions for future reference.
18. Design Strategy: Contribute to the overall design strategy of the company.
19. Mentoring: Provide guidance to junior designers and other team members.
20. Continuous Learning: Continuously learn and adapt to new design techniques and tools.
Qualifications
1. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Graphic design, or a related field is often preferred. Some positions may accept equivalent experience in lieu of a formal degree.
2. Design Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
3. User-Centered Design: Understanding of user-centered design principles and practices, including user research, personas, user flows, and usability testing.
4. Prototyping: Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to communicate design ideas.
5. Interactivity and Animation: Knowledge of how to design interactive elements and animations to enhance the user experience.
6. Responsive Design: Experience with designing for various devices and screen sizes, ensuring a consistent experience across platforms.
7. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
8. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions and user needs.
9. Problem-Solving: Creative and analytical approach to solving user experience problems.
10. Portfolio: A strong portfolio that showcases a range of design projects and a deep understanding of UX/UI principles.
11. Technical Skills: Some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can be beneficial to communicate more effectively with developers.
