Job Title: Kitchen Helper / Restaurant Helper

Location: Bangalore HSR Layout

Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Employment Type: Full-time Working Hours:7 am to 10pm

Salary: upto 18k per month

Job Summary

The Kitchen Helper will assist the cooking staff with food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining overall cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area. This role is essential to ensuring smooth kitchen operations and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as per the chef's instructions
• Assist in basic prep work such as marinating, grating, grinding, and portioning
• Keep prepped ingredients organized and stored properly

Dishwashing & Cleaning

• Wash utensils, pots, pans, plates, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to keep them clean and dry
• Clean countertops, sinks, stoves, and storage areas at the start and end of each shift
• Empty and clean dustbins; manage kitchen waste segregation (wet/dry)

Hygiene & Safety

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and FSSAI guidelines
• Wear required uniform, gloves, cap, and apron at all times
• Report any equipment malfunction or safety hazard immediately
• Assist with deep cleaning of the kitchen on scheduled days

General Support

• Help receive and store raw material deliveries
• Assist senior kitchen staff with any other tasks as required
• Maintain a respectful and cooperative attitude with team members

Requirements

• Minimum education: No formal qualification required; basic literacy preferred
• Prior experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or cloud kitchen is a plus (freshers welcome)
• Physically fit — able to stand for long hours and lift moderate loads
• Punctual, hardworking, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of cleanliness and hygiene
• Ability to communicate in [Hindi / English / local language]
