VMC Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines as per approved process sheets, drawings and work instructions.
• Load/unload components, fixtures and tools correctly.
• Set and adjust tool offsets, work offsets and cutting parameters as required.
• Perform in-process inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
• Perform tool changes and basic machine adjustments.
• Complete production records, job cards and inspection records accurately.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S, FOD, PPE and safety requirements.
• Carry out basic machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
• Minimize rejection, rework, machine downtime and tool wastage.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of VMC machine operation.
• Basic knowledge of Fanuc controls is preferred.
• Knowledge of tool and work offsets.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and basic machining parameters.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Good discipline, attention to detail and willingness to work in shifts.
• Aerospace / precision machining experience will be an advantage.
