Disease Educator

Position OverviewWe are seeking an empathetic, proactive, and result-oriented Disease Educator (Adult Immunization) to raise community awareness around vaccine-preventable diseases and drive adult vaccination uptake. Operating directly within outpatient departments (OPDs), you will educate patients on key adult vaccines—including Influenza, Shingles, Pneumococcal, Meningococcal, HPV, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Tdap—while building trusted relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and sales teams to support healthy aging and preventive healthcare.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Education & Counseling: Conduct structured 1-on-1 counseling sessions with adult patients in OPDs to highlight the benefits of timely immunization, debunk myths, and encourage preventive health practices.

• Therapy Area Expertise: Deliver accurate, tailored information on key adult vaccines:
• Influenza & Pneumococcal: Protection against seasonal respiratory infections and invasive lung diseases.
• Shingles (Herpes Zoster): Prevention of painful nerve inflammation and post-herpetic neuralgia in aging adults.
• HPV & Hepatitis A/B: Prevention of virus-induced cancers (cervical/throat) and chronic liver conditions.
• Tdap & Meningococcal: Protection against Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), and bacterial meningitis.

• OPD Management: Cover a minimum of 2 OPDs daily, maintaining consistent engagement with patients, caregivers, and clinical staff.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong rapport with hospital doctors, HCPs, and internal sales/medical teams to integrate vaccination discussions into routine adult care.
• Tracking & Compliance: Maintain daily logs of counseling sessions, patient queries, and vaccination conversion rates while adhering to ethical medical communication standards.

• Candidate Profile & Qualifications
• Education: Graduate in Science (B.Sc), D.Pharm, or B.Pharm.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in patient counseling, clinical education, nursing support, or pharmaceutical detailing.
• Gender: Open to both Male and Female candidates (M/F).
• Key Competencies: Excellent communication and presentation skills, high empathy, patient-centric mindset, and confidence in liaising with doctors and sales counterparts.
