Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Study customer RFQs, technical specifications, BOQs, and electrical drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates for copper and aluminium busbars, including raw materials, fabrication, plating, insulation, and assembly.
- Calculate material quantities, weights, cutting lengths, and material utilization.
- Estimate manufacturing costs, including labor, machine hours, tooling, and overheads.
- Prepare quotations, cost sheets, and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with production, design, purchase, and sales teams for technical and commercial clarification.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations for copper, aluminium, insulation materials, and other components.
- Evaluate alternative materials and manufacturing methods to optimize costs.
- Maintain records of quotations, costing data, and historical project costs.
- Follow up on customer enquiries and support order negotiations.
