Job Description
FTTH Fibre Splicing TechnicianLocation: Bangalore – North & South
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month + Performance-Based Incentives
Job DescriptionWe are looking for experienced FTTH Fibre Splicing Technicians who have strong hands-on experience in optical fibre fusion splicing and FTTH installation.
- Key ResponsibilitiesPerform fusion splicing of optical fibre using a fusion splicing machine.
- Carry out fibre jointing, termination, connectorization, and restoration.
- Handle FTTH fibre laying, routing, wiring, and cable management.
- Install and commission FTTH broadband connections at customer premises.
- Install and configure ONT/ONU, Wi-Fi routers, and related equipment.
- Perform fibre testing using OTDR, optical power meter, VFL, and other testing equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot fibre cuts, signal loss, attenuation, and connectivity issues.
- Handle new installations, shifting, repairs, maintenance, and fibre restoration.
- Ensure proper and professional fibre installation at customer locations.
- Complete assigned field jobs within the required timelines.
- Follow safety and quality standards during all field activities.
- Mandatory SkillsHands-on fusion splicing experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of FTTH fibre splicing and jointing.
- Experience with fibre termination, wiring, routing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate a fusion splicing machine independently.
- Knowledge of OTDR and optical power meter.
- Basic knowledge of ONT/ONU, routers, LAN cabling, and FTTH connectivity.
ExperienceCandidates with experience in Airtel, Jio, ACT, Hathway, You Broadband, BSNL, or other telecom/ISP companies are encouraged to apply.
Experience: 1–3 years preferred.
Tata Fibre experience is NOT mandatory. Experience with any FTTH/broadband operator is acceptable.
- RequirementsTwo-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred.
- Willingness to travel across Bangalore North & South.
- Comfortable working at customer premises and in outdoor field conditions.
