Job Summary

The Interior Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing interior fit-out projects from project award through final handover. The role involves managing schedules, budgets, quality, safety, subcontractors, procurement, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Manage end-to-end execution of commercial interior fit-out projects.
• Develop detailed project schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
• Coordinate site mobilization and resource planning.
• Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.

2. Client Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
• Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Resolve project-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

3. Site Management

• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor daily work progress and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate civil, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, networking, and furniture installation activities.

4. Procurement & Material Management

• Coordinate with procurement for timely material ordering and delivery.
• Monitor inventory and material consumption.
• Ensure approved materials and finishes are used on site.

5. Quality Control

• Implement quality assurance procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections.
• Ensure workmanship meets project specifications.
• Rectify quality issues before client inspections.

6. Cost Control

• Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Verify subcontractor bills and vendor invoices.
• Track variations and change orders.

7. Safety Compliance

• Enforce site safety procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and client safety requirements.
• Investigate and report incidents.

8. Documentation

• Maintain project documentation including:
• Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
• Weekly Progress Reports
• Material Requisitions
• Inspection Requests
• Site Instructions
• RFIs
• Variation Orders
• As-built drawings
• Handover documentation

9. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Review work quality and progress.
• Ensure timely completion as per contract requirements.

10. Project Handover

• Prepare snag lists.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning.
• Ensure all punch points are closed.
• Complete final handover and obtain client sign-off.
