Jr. Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who can independently handle complete accounting and audit-related activities.

The candidate must have previous work experience in a CA Firm, Chartered Accountant Office, Audit Office, or Accounting Firm.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Handle complete day-to-day accounting activities
• Maintain books of accounts and accounting records
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries
• Bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation
• Prepare and maintain P&L, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance
• Handle GST-related accounting and returns
• Handle TDS calculation, filing and related work
• Assist with Income Tax Return (ITR) preparation and filing
• Prepare data and documents required for audits
• Coordinate and provide required information for statutory / tax audits
• Verify invoices, vouchers and supporting documents
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records
• Identify accounting errors and rectify them
• Handle client accounts and communicate with clients when required
• Ensure accounts are updated accurately and on time

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience is mandatory
• CA Firm / Audit Office experience is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Good knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax
• Experience in handling complete accounts independently
• Knowledge of Bank Reconciliation & Ledger Reconciliation
• Knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet & Trial Balance
• Good working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts
• Good communication and documentation skills

Candidates currently working or previously worked in:

• CA Firms
• Chartered Accountant Offices
• Audit Firms / Audit Offices
• Accounting Firms

Candidates who have handled multiple client accounts and completed accounting work independently will be preferred.
