Mechanical CAD Faculty

Job Summary. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical CAD Faculty to train students and working professionals in mechanical design, drafting, 3D modeling, and engineering drawing. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of CAD software and the ability to explain technical concepts through hands-on training and real-world projects.

• Key ResponsibilitiesConduct classroom and practical training sessions on Mechanical CAD and Design.
• Teach 2D drafting, 3D modeling, assembly design, and engineering drawing concepts.
• Prepare training materials, exercises, assignments, and project-based learning activities.
• Guide students in completing industry-oriented mechanical design projects.
• Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and practical assessments.
• Explain GD&T, manufacturing drawings, design principles, and basic mechanical engineering concepts.
• Stay updated with current CAD tools, design practices, and industry requirements.
• Provide career and project guidance to students when required.

CAD Tools / Software - The faculty should have good working knowledge of at least 2–3 of the following:

• AutoCAD – 2D drafting and mechanical drawings
• SolidWorks – 3D part modeling, assemblies, and drawings
• CATIA – Part Design, Assembly Design, and drafting
• Creo – 3D modeling, assemblies, and mechanical design
• Autodesk Inventor – 3D mechanical design and assemblies
• NX CAD – Product design, modeling, and assembly
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of mechanical engineering and design fundamentals.
• Good understanding of 2D drafting, 3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and design standards is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
• Good problem-solving and student-handling skills.
• Industry experience or CAD project experience will be an added advantage.
