Live-in Caretaker (24/7) for Elderly MotherAbout the role: Full-time live-in caretaker for my mother, 68, in Bengaluru. She has a long-term lung condition and uses oxygen during the day and a BiPAP breathing machine at night. A nursing degree is not required. We will train you on the machines. We need someone caring, patient and reliable.

Daily duties

• Personal care: bathing, toilet help, changing clothes, hair and skin care, keeping her bed and room clean.
• Walking and exercise: support her while she walks so she doesn’t fall, and help with the light daily exercises the doctor or physiotherapist gives.
• Medicines: give every medicine on time from the written schedule and tick it off on the sheet. Never skip, double or change a dose.
• Nebulizer: give it at the fixed times (morning and night) and extra only when needed. Clean it after each use.
• Oxygen: use the mask during the day and nasal prongs while she eats. Check her oxygen with the finger oximeter several times a day. Never change the oxygen flow on your own.
• BiPAP at night: help her put the mask on at bedtime, make sure it stays on all night, and clean the mask and water tub daily.
• Food: help with meals, water and her nutrition drinks.
• Daily log: write down medicines given, oxygen readings, food and sleep.

Call the family or doctor immediately if she is: very drowsy or hard to wake, confused, breathless, has oxygen below 86, or has a racing heartbeat.

We are looking for: experience caring for elderly people (preferred), ability to read a simple schedule, Hindi speaking, honest, clean and calm, with references.

24 घंटे साथ रहने वाली देखभालकर्ता (Caretaker) – बुज़ुर्ग माँ के लिएकाम के बारे में: बेंगलुरु में मेरी 68 वर्ष की माँ के साथ 24 घंटे रहकर देखभाल करनी है। उन्हें फेफड़ों की पुरानी बीमारी है। दिन में वे ऑक्सीजन लेती हैं और रात में BiPAP मशीन लगाती हैं। नर्स होना ज़रूरी नहीं है। मशीनें चलाना हम सिखा देंगे। हमें ऐसा व्यक्ति चाहिए जो प्यार से, धैर्य से और भरोसे के साथ काम करे।

रोज़ के काम

• निजी देखभाल: नहलाना, शौचालय में मदद करना, कपड़े बदलवाना, बाल और त्वचा की देखभाल करना, बिस्तर और कमरा साफ़ रखना।
• चलना और व्यायाम: चलते समय सहारा देना ताकि वे गिरें नहीं। डॉक्टर या फ़िज़ियोथेरेपिस्ट के बताए हल्के व्यायाम रोज़ करवाना।
• दवाइयाँ: लिखे हुए समय-पत्रक के अनुसार हर दवा समय पर देना और शीट पर टिक करना। कोई दवा छोड़नी नहीं, दो बार नहीं देनी, और खुद से बदलनी नहीं।
• नेबुलाइज़र: तय समय (सुबह और रात) पर देना। अतिरिक्त डोज़ सिर्फ़ ज़रूरत पड़ने पर देना। हर बार के बाद साफ़ करना।
• ऑक्सीजन: दिन में मास्क लगाना और खाना खाते समय नाक वाली नली लगाना। दिन में कई बार उंगली वाले ऑक्सीमीटर से ऑक्सीजन जाँचना। ऑक्सीजन का फ़्लो खुद से कभी न बदलना।
• रात में BiPAP: सोते समय मास्क लगाने में मदद करना और पूरी रात मास्क लगा रहे, यह देखना। मास्क और पानी का डिब्बा रोज़ साफ़ करना।
• खाना: खाना खिलाने में मदद करना, पानी और पोषण वाले ड्रिंक देना।
• रोज़ की डायरी: दी गई दवाइयाँ, ऑक्सीजन की रीडिंग, खाना और नींद लिखना।

इन हालात में तुरंत परिवार या डॉक्टर को फ़ोन करें: अगर वे बहुत सुस्त हों या जगाने पर न जागें, उलझन में हों, साँस फूल रही हो, ऑक्सीजन 86 से कम हो, या दिल बहुत तेज़ धड़क रहा हो।

हमें चाहिए: बुज़ुर्गों की देखभाल का अनुभव (हो तो बेहतर), सरल समय-पत्रक पढ़ने की क्षमता, हिंदी बोलने वाला/वाली, ईमानदार, साफ़-सुथरा, शांत स्वभाव, और रेफ़रेंस।
