Job Description

PLC PROGRAMMER – JOB REQUIREMENTWe are looking for a PLC Programmer with practical experience in industrial automation, PLC/HMI programming, communication protocols, and electrical control panels.

  • KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED1. PLC & HMI ProgrammingGood knowledge of Delta PLC programming using Ladder Logic.
  • Experience in Delta HMI programming.
  • Ability to develop, modify, troubleshoot, and debug PLC programs.
  • Knowledge of machine sequence control and interlocking logic.
  • 2. Communication ProtocolsGood knowledge of Modbus communication between PLC and external devices.
  • Knowledge of RS232 communication with industrial devices.
  • Knowledge of RS232 ASCII communication and understanding of ASCII data formats.
  • Ability to troubleshoot communication-related issues between PLC, HMI, meters, controllers, and other devices.

3. Data Types & Number SystemsThe candidate should have a good understanding of:

  • Binary values
  • Integer values
  • Hexadecimal values
  • Floating-point (Float) values
  • Data conversion between different formats
  • Register addressing and data handling in PLC communication
  • 4. Electrical Panel & Switchgear KnowledgeBasic to good knowledge of electrical control panel wiring.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic/control circuit diagrams.
  • Ability to identify electrical components and understand their basic operation.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical panel troubleshooting.

5. Electrical & Automation ComponentsThe candidate should be familiar with the operation, wiring, and basic troubleshooting of:

  • Induction Motors
  • AC Servo Motors and Servo Drives
  • Stepper Motors and Stepper Drives
  • VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Contactors
  • SSRs (Solid State Relays)
  • Relays
  • Sensors and switches
  • MCB/MCCB and other basic switchgear components
  • PREFERRED SKILLSPractical experience in industrial automation machinery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machines at the site.
  • Understanding of PLC inputs/outputs and field wiring.
  • Ability to work with electrical and mechanical teams during machine commissioning.
  • Willingness to travel for machine installation and commissioning, if required.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

EXPERIENCEPreferred: 2–5 years of practical experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
