Retail Team Leader

The Retail Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, leading the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high standards of store presentation and inventory management. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for organic and healthy living products.

• Key ResponsibilitiesTeam LeadershipSupervise, motivate, and guide store associates to achieve individual and team goals.
• Conduct daily team briefings and allocate responsibilities effectively.
• Train new employees on product knowledge, customer service, and store procedures.
• Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.
• Sales & Customer ServiceDrive sales performance and ensure achievement of store targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Promote loyalty programs, ongoing offers, and new product launches.
• Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience.
• Store OperationsEnsure smooth day-to-day store operations.
• Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and visual merchandising standards.
• Monitor product displays and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
• Inventory ManagementMonitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
• Conduct periodic stock checks and inventory audits.
• Minimize stock loss, wastage, and shrinkage.
• Ensure accurate handling of incoming and outgoing stock.
• Cash & Billing ManagementOversee billing operations and cash handling procedures.
• Verify daily cash collections and store transactions.
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
• Reporting & AdministrationPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
• Analyze store performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support the Store Manager in implementing business strategies and promotional activities.
• Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in any discipline preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/team leader role.
• Experience in FMCG, Food Retail, Organic Stores, Supermarkets, or Modern Trade preferred.
