Site Engineer

Role Title: Site Engineer – Civil (Industrial/Commercial Projects)

Location: Project sites (Karnataka / outstation)

Reporting to: Civil Project Manager / Technical Director

Interfaces: PEB team, MEP contractors, QC, Client/PMC

Role purpose

Execute civil works with quality and speed: setting-out → foundations → pedestals/anchor bolts → flooring → roads/drains → admin block, ensuring readiness for PEB erection and MEP works.

Key responsibilities

• Site setting-out: grid lines, benchmarks, levels, layout marking
• Manage contractors for:
• excavation, PCC, footing, pedestals
• anchor bolt setting & template checks (critical interface)
• plinth beams (if any), flooring build-up (subbase/DLC/VDF/FM2)
• drains, culverts, compound wall, roads
• Daily progress monitoring:
• manpower, material consumption, planned vs actual output
• Quality controls:
• cube tests, slump tests, rebar checks, shuttering checks
• level tolerances for pedestals and dock areas
• Coordinate civil readiness for PEB:
• access roads for cranes/trailers
• hardstand areas, storage yard
• Maintain daily site records:
• site diary, measurement sheets (MB support), photos, safety compliance
• Raise RFIs where drawings/levels are unclear; prevent rework

Deliverables / outputs

• Daily progress report + 7-day lookahead inputs
• Civil readiness sign-offs (before anchor bolts, before erection)
• Quality records and test reports
• Measurement sheets for RA billing

KPIs

• Pedestal/anchor bolt accuracy (rework = zero tolerance)
• Flooring progress and quality (flatness/joints as per spec)
• Schedule adherence
• Material wastage control

Requirements

• Diploma/BE Civil, 2–6+ years in industrial/commercial civil execution
• Comfortable with AutoCAD reading, levels, total station (good to have)
• Strong subcontractor control + reporting discipline
