About the Role

UniLife Abroad Career Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic and result-oriented Student Counselor to guide students who are planning to pursue higher education in European universities.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong interest in international education, and the ability to understand students' academic backgrounds and career goals and recommend suitable study options.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding higher education opportunities in European countries.

- Understand students' academic qualifications, career interests, budget and preferred study destinations.

- Provide accurate information about universities, courses, eligibility requirements, tuition fees, scholarships and admission procedures.

- Explain the complete application and admission process to students.

- Guide students in selecting suitable universities and programs based on their profile.

- Follow up with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp, email and office visits.

- Convert enquiries and leads into student applications and admissions.

- Coordinate with the admissions/application team for document collection and application submission.

- Maintain accurate records of student enquiries, applications, follow-ups and admission status.

- Keep students updated regarding application decisions, admission letters and other relevant developments.

- Coordinate with internal teams for visa documentation and pre-departure guidance.

- Achieve individual and team counselling/admission targets.

- Build a positive relationship with students throughout the admission process.

- Participate in education fairs, seminars, school/college visits and promotional activities when required.

- Stay updated on European university admissions, scholarships, visa requirements and changes in international education policies.

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

- Previous experience in overseas education counselling, student counseling, admissions or sales is preferred.

- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in overseas education may also apply.

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Additional knowledge of Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada/Hindi will be an advantage depending on location.

- Strong interpersonal and convincing skills.

- Good follow-up and lead-conversion abilities.

- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace and CRM systems.

- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

- Target-oriented and proactive approach.

Preferred Knowledge

Knowledge of European study destinations such as:

Germany | Italy | Austria | France | Belgium | Latvia | Lithuania and other European destinations

Knowledge of university applications, scholarships, accommodation, visa procedures and post-study opportunities will be an added advantage.
