Job Description
A system administrator in the education sector manages and maintains school or university computer systems, networks, and digital learning infrastructure to support students, teachers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- User Account Management: Create and manage bulk accounts for students, faculty, and staff, handling role-based access control and password resets.
- Network & Server Upkeep: Maintain local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi access points across campus, and on-premise or cloud servers.
- Campus Software Deployment: Install, update, and license learning management systems (LMS), classroom lab software, and administrative ERP tools.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot hardware and software failures in computer labs, smart classrooms, and faculty offices.
- Data Security & Backups: Protect student and institutional data through regular backups, firewall configurations, and adherence to privacy regulations.
