Job Description Accounting
This role is ideal for a B.Com graduate with strong hands-on experience in accounts, compliance, and financial reporting. Candidates with CMA (Inter) or equivalent qualifications, practical knowledge of Zoho Books/ERP systems, and advanced Excel/MIS reporting skills will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in Zoho Books and ensure timely recording of day-to-day transactions.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports; present insights to management.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accuracy of ledgers and reports.
- Perform cash flow management and working capital planning to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-control initiatives across production.
- Analyze production costs, cost-per-unit, and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, payroll, and other statutory requirements; coordinate timely filings.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors; support statutory and tax audits.
- Implement internal financial controls, policies, and process improvements to strengthen finance operations.
- Support pricing, procurement decisions, and supplier contract reviews from a financial perspective.
- Train and supervise junior accounting staff and maintain documentation for finance processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Com graduate (mandatory).
- Preferred: CMA (Inter) / CA (Inter) or equivalent finance certification.
- Experience: 3–7 years in accounting & finance (manufacturing/food sector exposure preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books (or similar ERP/accounting systems); experience implementing or maintaining ERP is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, basic macros) and MIS/dashboard creation.
- Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, payroll, and Indian accounting standards.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills and ability to present financial information to non-finance managers.
